063 Public Notice


The Shelby Civil Service Commission will be conducting a competitive test for an entrance level examination for the position of Police Dispatcher with the Shelby Police Department. To qualify for the testing you must be at least 18 years of age.

An application for this exam may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. September 8, 2014 through September 12, 2014, at the Mayor's office, City Hall, 43 West Main Street. The deadline for returning the application to the Mayor's office is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014, along with any supporting documents concerning military and/or educational training.

The written examination will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Shelby City Hall in the Conference Room at 5 Water Street, Shelby, Ohio.

A passing grade of (75%) seventy-five percent will be required for consideration of this position. The final candidate will have to pass an interview, drug and physical examination, and a security check.
