Smoke is shown coming from the building on Tuesday, April 6 in Shelby.

SHELBY --- The Shelby Fire Department was at the scene of an apartment fire west of downtown on Tuesday evening.
The call came shortly before 5 p.m. to a location reported as 16 Bridge Street. 
Smoke and some flames were seen coming from the roof of the two-story wood building just north of the Whitney Avenue overpass.
No injuries were reported or immediate word about what caused the fire put out by crews.
In addition to Shelby, firefighters from the Shiloh fire department were at the scene.
Shelby police provided traffic control as traffic was restricted in the area of Auburn Avenue and Sharon Street while firefighters worked at the scene.
