The 44th death of the pandemic was reported on Monday, Nov. 8.

SHELBY — Shelby on Monday reported its 44th death of the coronavirus pandemic.

The death was announced in an email update from the Shelby City Health Department.

In its update covering Nov. 6-Nov. 8 the health department reported:

* 33 active cases

* 2 hospitalizations  

*  7 new cases

* 19 recovered/resolved cases

* 1,547 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March 2020

* 1,470 individuals among the cumulative number, who have attained recovered/resolved status since March 2020.
