SHELBY — Taking part in this year’s Shelby Farmers’ Market is vendor Paul Burkholder and his 11-year-old year daughter, Sharon, who hail from Plymouth.
“Paul owns a five-acre farm where he grows strawberries, assorted squash, green beans, cabbage and corn,” market manager Aileen Stewart said in an email.
“In addition, he also offers auction produce and South Carolina peaches which can be purchased by the box or the truckload,” Stewart wrote. “Not to be outdone by her father, Sharon is one of the market’s three children vendors and bakes various types of cookies.”
The Shelby Farmers' Market runs from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays to the first Saturday in September at the pavilion area in Black Fork Commons.
