Flags at half-staff in Shelby

Flags, including one at Dowds Elementary School in Shelby, are at half-staff as shown on Monday, Jan. 11.
"To honor the life and service of United States Capitol Police Officers Brian D. Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, as well as all Capitol Police officers and law enforcement officers across the country, Governor DeWine has ordered that all U.S. and Ohio flags be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Ohio until sunset on January 13, 2021," an announcement from the Ohio Governor's Office states.
"This order is in accordance with the orders issued today by the President of the United States of America," the announcement adds.
