A look at the newly named Shelby Crossing Golf Course as shown from Laser Road on March 23. New signage is planned.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP — Shelby Country Club is now Shelby Crossing golf course.

The change is effective Thursday, March 25, according to an email announcement this week.

Shelby Crossing at 3885 Laser Road is joining the family, the announcement stated, of Little Apple Golf Course in Bellville, The Woods at Possum Run in the Mansfield area and Oak Tree Golf Club in the Mansfield/Ontario area.

At Shelby Crossing, memberships will be available, stated the announcement from Katie Parrish, who wrote that she’ll serve as manager.

“There will be a $1,400 individual membership that will include unlimited golf and range balls at Little Apple, The Woods and Shelby,” the announcement stated. A diamond membership that includes unlimited golf and range balls at all four courses is $1,700, the announcement also said.

People are asked to see the pro shop for other additional membership opportunities.

“We should be up and running for the weekend so let's all cross our fingers that this amazing weather continues,” the announcement stated.

The Shelby Crossing pro shop can be reached at 419-347-1824.

Joel Keep remains as the golf course superintendent.
