Project blocks Main Street in downtown Shelby
Downtown Shelby as shown on Saturday, June 5 along Main Street in the area of Mohican Street where a sanitary sewer project is underway, prompting detours.
 
The East Main Street Sanitary Sewer Project will replace the aging sanitary sewer main between Mohican Street and High School Avenue, Shelby’s Municipal Utilities Director and Deputy Public Service Director John Ensman recently told a City Council committee. Work started last week.
 
The project will take approximately two weeks to complete. Businesses in the area of the work remain open.
