Rubble at Shelby demolition site
- David Jacobs/SDG Newspapers

A Shelby demolition site is full of rubble as show in a Jan. 7 photo. The demolition work began in December at the old drive-thru and ice plant building complex off Mansfield Avenue.
In an email earlier this past fall, Shelby Municipal Utilities Director John Ensman said that after the demolition project was finished, the site would be marketed for sale. “This is a high traffic area with great potential for a professional building,” he wrote. “The site is highly visible when traveling on Mansfield Avenue.”
