The city of Shelby on Friday reported its 41st death of the pandemic.

Shelby on Friday reported its 41st death of the coronavirus pandemic, the second in a week and third since Sept. 14.
No details were available on the person who died.
The information was included in a COVID-19 data update provided in an email from Shelby Mayor Steve Schag.
Details of the Shelby coronavirus update (Oct. 7-8):
ACTIVE CASES: 75
NEW CASES: 22
CURRENT HOSPITALIZATIONS: 0
RECOVERED/RESOLVED CASES: 26
TOTAL testing positive since March 2020: 1,384 (1,268 recovered resolved)
DEATHS during pandemic: 41
