The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is investigating.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) reports that it is investigating a death that occurred at Mohican State Park where a tree branch fell and hit a woman hiking on a trail around 3 p.m. Sunday.
ODNR officers and the Ashland County coroner responded, an ODNR statement read. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The statement did not identify the name of the woman, referring that question to the coroner's office. A message was left there Tuesday.
The Ashland Times Gazette newspaper identified the woman as Shelley Miller, 57, of Columbus.
The investigation is ongoing, ODNR said.
"ODNR reminds people while hiking to stay on the trail and follow park safety instructions," its statement read.
The park is in the Loudonville, Ohio area.
