Working along High School Avenue
Here is a look at a temporary closure Oct. 12 along High School Avenue in Shelby.

It’s related to the recent street paving project, reports John Ensman, Shelby’s municipal utilities director and deputy public service director.

“Kokosing is making adjustments to the paving source around the manholes, sewers, and water boxes,” Ensman said via email.

“Concrete is being poured around the facilities to prevent damage to the utility infrastructure and it smooths out the surface area to prevent less bumps in the roadway," he said.

As for the timeline, the utility work is described as weather pending.

“They will be making the adjustments throughout the entire paving project area,” Ensman said.

High School Avenue reopened later in the day with several traffic cones remaining in place as work remained. The affected area was between Main and Park.
