Shelby survived three first-half turnovers, but dominated the second half and captured a 32-13 Division IV, Region 14 playoff victory against Rossford Saturday night at W.W. Skiles Field at William J. Wilkins Stadium.

Despite the miscues, the Whippets clung to a 13-10 halftime lead.

SHS put the game away in the fourth quarter with two touchdowns. One was a fumble recovery in the endzone by Caleb Baker courtesy of a strip sack by Nathan Zehner that made it 25-13 with 6:24. Owen Fisher iced it 17-yard TD run with 1:58 remaining.

Shelby, now 7-0, welcomes Oberlin Firelands next Saturday night. Firelands knocked off Napoleon 21-20 to advance.
